As a busy wife, small business owner, and mother of 4 small children, I develop weekly menus to help keep myself on track. I started this blog as a way to share these menus (and some of my favorite recipes) with other busy cooks. Since my first post it has evolved into a discussion of not only food but other aspects of life. Check out my tips, recipes, and, of course, my weekly menus. I hope they are a help as you manage your own home (and life).

Help! October Crockpot Menu Ideas
I am planning to attempt something I've never done before...a WHOLE month of solely crockpot meals. I'm getting lots of ideas from Pinterest but would LOVE to have some of your family favorites. Please comment with a link or recipe.
I am in love with my two crockpoets, and am looking forward to making lots of chili this fall! But I know you already have your own chili recipe, so here are a couple different recipes for you:)
Rosemary Chicken w/ White Beans
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 TBL canola oil 2 cans great northern beans, drained and rinsed 1 cup sliced fresh carrots 1/2 Cup sliced celery 2/3 cup italian dressing 2 tsp. dried rosemary salt and pepper to taste
In large skillet, brown chicken in oil on both sides. Place the beans, carrots and celery in slow cooker; top with chicken.
Combine the salad dressing, rosemary, salt and pepper; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours.
Sesame Orange Chicken (one of our faves!)
1/2 Cup all purpose flour 16 boneless skinless chicken thighs 2/3 cup teriyaki sesame ginger barbecue sauce 2/3 cup orange marmalade 1/2 cup orange juice 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 TBL minced fresh gingerroot 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes 2 TBL sesame seeds, toasted Hot Cooked Rice
Coat chicken with flour. Place in slow cooker. Combine bbq sauce, marmalade, oj, soy sauce, ginger and pepper flakes. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice.
