Menu 2015: March 2-April 5

It's going to be a busy month full of school, church activities, and wedding sewing so I've got lots of slow cooker or quick and simple dishes on the menu.
March 2-8
March 9-15
  • Black bean and chicken flatbread paninis, steamed veggies, and side salad
  • National Ranch Dressing Day (3/10) - I didn't know there was such a day, but since there is we will be celebrating with chef salads
  • National "Eat your Noodles" Day (3/11) - Spaghetti and meatballs (pop frozen meatballs and jarred marinara sauce into a slow cooker and let it sit on low all day), steamed broccoli, side salad, and roasted garlic bread
  • National Chicken Noodle Soup Day (3/13) - obviously, chicken noodle soup is on the menu (slow cooker)
  • Tex-Mex mac'n'cheese (basically a cross between tacos and mac'n'cheese)
March 16-22
  • Turkey and wild rice soup (slow cooker)
  • National "Eat Like an Irishman" Day (3/17) - corned beef and cabbage or Dublin Coddle (Irish Sausage, Bacon, Onion and Potato Hotpot)
  • National Sloppy Joe Day (3/18) - slow cooker sloppy joes, roasted cauliflower, and lentils
  • National Ravioli Day (3/20) - homemade ravioli (still deciding what kind) with garlic cream sauce, steamed broccoli, and side salad
  • National Crunchy Taco Day (3/21) - since Tex-Mex is my hubby's favorite food, it's safe to say that we will be having crunchy tacos (either fish or ground turkey) and black beans
March 23-29
  • Loaded potato soup (slow cooker)
  • National Waffle Day (3/25) - Mmmm, Belgian waffles with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and bacon
  • Pizza and side salad
  • Pork schnitzel with arugula salad and roasted veggies
  • Carne asada, black beans, and quinoa (slow cooker)
March 30-April 5 - Happy Easter
  • Omelettes and hashbrowns
  • April Fool's Day meal - meatloaf and mashed potato "cupcakes", steamed veggies, and side salad
  • Chicken and stuffing bake
  • National Hot Cross Bun Day (Good Friday) - hot cross buns will be served for breakfast
  • Grilled chicken sandwiches and California Medley soup
  • Steaks, roasted root veggies, steamed broccoli, and side salad
