Menu 2016: October 31-November 20

October was a very busy (and interesting) month. My husband and I were still struggling with jet lag, and the kids were adjusting to being back home and on a regular schedule. We finished our first quarter of school so there are only three more to go till summer break. Can you tell I'm excited about that?! We are looking forward to November and the fun things it brings - my husband's birthday, deer hunting weekend spent at a water park with my husband's brother's family, and Thanksgiving spent with my side of the family. Do you have any special traditions for your family in November?
October 31-November 5
  • Chicken Carbonara, steamed broccoli, and French bread
  • Mini meatloaves, French fries, and steamed veggies
  • Pretzel dogs and steamed veggies
  • Chili and cornbread
  • Chicken noodle soup and buttermilk biscuits
November 6-13
  • Subs, fresh veggie tray, and peaches
  • Swedish meatballs over egg noodles with steamed veggies
  • One-Pot Cheesy Italian Chicken and Pasta and steamed broccoli
  • Bacon cheese burgers, fries, and roasted brussels sprouts
  • Roast turkey breast, brown rice, and mixed veggies
November 14-20
  • Turkey Pot Pie
  • Enchilasagna (similar to enchilada pie but layered like lasagna)
  • Spaghetti with meat sauce, steamed veggies, salad, and French bread
  • Pizza and side salad
  • Pork Salsa Verde, beans (black or pinto), and brown rice
