- 6 boneless sirloin pork chops, 1" thick
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard (Grey Poupon is a gluten-free option for this)
- 1-2 teaspoons jalapeno hot sauce
- Get grill going. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, onion, chili powder, garlic powder and mustard.
- Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Place on the heated grill. Leave for 4-5 minutes.
- Brush the top side of the pork chops with your sauce, turn pork chops over, and brush on the other side. Cook for another 5-6 minutes, or till cooked through. Now remember that sirloin chops don't have a lot of fat so be careful not to overcook.
Enjoy with some grilled green beans and carrots, and wild or brown rice (I use a "minute" style rice so that everything is done at about the same time).
