Menu 2014: March 3-30

Time is just flying by this year. I find it hard to believe that it is already March, but then, the weather here seems to agree with me. We've had SEVERAL sub-zero temperature days and lots of snow in the last couple of weeks. I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to spring! I am attempting a slightly different menu format. Each week will consist of a spicy food, a comfort food, an ethnic food, a soup or sandwich, a slow cooker meal, and/or a miscellaneous dish. So here goes...
March 3-9
  • Caribbean jerk chicken, rice medley, and steamed California medley veggies
  • BLTA pitas and side salad
  • Tacos with black beans and rice
  • Venison steak and eggs with potatoes o'brien
  • Cowboy Skillet
We are hosting a "Date Night" for our church's Homebuilders group (engaged, newly married, or married couples with minor children at home). The hubby and I are preparing an elegant dinner of caprese chicken/rosemary garlic pork loin, roasted root vegetables/steamed California medley vegetables, roasted potatoes/garlic mashed potatoes, salad, bread, and appetizers. We'll also have marbled cheesecake and chocolate lovers cake. We have some fun activities planned for the couples as well.

March 10-16
March 17-23
March 24-30
